The COMESA Court of Justice paid a courtesy call to the Chief Justice of Rwanda, aiming at benchmarking and collaborating in various aspects, including the use of technology, the measures put in place to avoid or to deal with backlog in courts.

Her Ladyship Honourable the President of the Supreme Court thanked the delegation and commended the idea of working together between the two courts. For rotational court sittings in COMESA Member States, Her Ladyship promised to give facilities to the CCJ when its court sessions will be held in Rwanda.

The delegation expressing their satisfaction to the Chief Justice of the Republic of Rwanda, the Government and the people of Rwanda. It also expressed the need of collaboration and benchmarking between the two institutions.
