CCJ Staff complete Trial Advocacy Training in Mombasa, Kenya.

From 4 to 8 August 2025, two Registry staff from the COMESA Court of Justice attended a Trial Advocacy Training in Mombasa, Kenya, organised by the Justice Advocacy Africa (JAA) in partnership with the Mombasa Law Society (MLS).
The training aimed to enhance participants’ courtroom advocacy skills through practical exercises on case theory, examination-in-chief, cross-examination, re-examination, and closing submissions, using a simulated case file and expert feedback.
On the final day, participants had the opportunity to put their skills to the test before sitting judicial officers from the Republic of Kenya, providing a realistic and invaluable trial experience.
At the end of the programme, participants received individual certificates of completion, while the Court was honoured with a Certificate of Appreciation in recognition of its active participation and commitment to strengthening professional skills in the region.
